As someone who wore many hats in the business and spent most of her day at her desk, she needed a new desk and shelves to keep office items neat and ordered. Additionally, she required an auxiliary worktable for her assistant and a small kitchenette with a booth and table for employee breaks and lunches. Given the tight space, the table had to fold away when not in use.
Emily also wanted a gate to safely contain her small child and occasionally dogs, given the nature of their dog behavioral center. We decided to use local cherry slabs, which were both available and beautiful, along with premium cherry plywood for the shelves. This combination allowed us to transform the small office space into an inviting and comforting place to run the business, meeting all of Emily’s functional and aesthetic needs.
